Our shed base method

Rather than using a traditional full concrete slab, which is expensive, time-consuming and hard to remove if you ever want to change the layout of your garden, we use a timber crossbeam frame system. The corner and mid-span posts are individually concreted into the ground, and the frame is built on top to create a firm, level base for the shed.

This approach is structurally excellent and significantly more sustainable than a full concrete pour. It uses far less concrete, has much less environmental impact, and can be adapted to different shed sizes and configurations. All timber used in the frame is pressure-treated, making it resistant to rot, moisture and insects from day one.
