About Reading Fencing

Reading Fencing is a specialist fencing contractor based in Bracknell, Berkshire, founded and run by Nick Smith. We supply and install high-quality timber fencing, garden gates, slatted screens and garden sheds for homeowners and businesses across Reading and the surrounding area.

Nick started the business as a sole trader in 2015, driven by a straightforward belief: that customers deserve reliable tradespeople who show up when they say they will, do the job properly, and leave the garden better than they found it. That ethos hasn’t changed.

We became a limited company in 2020 and have since completed hundreds of fencing projects across Berkshire, building a reputation for quality and care that’s reflected in our five-star Google reviews and our Checkatrade record.

We work with only the best suppliers, and every length of timber we install is pressure-treated as standard. This means the wood is resistant to moisture, rot and insects from day one, no need for you to apply any treatments yourself. Our concrete fencing products are reinforced with steel for maximum strength, and all fence posts are set a minimum of 2 feet into the ground to ensure stability even in the worst weather.

Our team is trained and experienced across the wider construction and landscaping sector, which means we’re fully equipped to handle uneven ground, established trees, slopes and any other challenges your garden might present. We also carry full public liability insurance for your peace of mind.
